Malawi Climate Change Young Leaders welcome new MASP-CEO.

Climate change young leaders in Malawi under Malawi Scotland Partnership have joyfully welcome Stella Masangano who will lead the organization as Chief Executive Officer. This follows an appointment by MASP board of directors on 18th January 2021.

The CEO introductory digital event which saw about 30 young leaders participating was mainly aimed at introducing Masangano to young leaders and allow her to appreciate different activities by Youths in combating Climate change.

Speaking to energetic and creative Young leaders in an hour and 20 minutes engagement meeting, the new MASP CEO Stella Masangano praised the efforts spearheaded by the climate change leaders in different districts of Malawi.

"Young leaders! you doing great job with interesting interventions to mitigate climate change ,am happy to work with you" said Masangano. She added "make sure you are having a business plan for your activities. As you fight climate change, it is also important to think outside the box"

However, skilful Masangano further made a call to young leaders to ensure monitoring in all it's tree planting activities to ensure survival of the trees.

On his part, Young leader -Thomson Mpumuro has expressed optimism that the good working relationship will continue to reign supreme with the coming of the new CEO. "I am more than sure that her coming will come with good fruits she will continue the good work of Vera in making the young leaders great" Said Mpumuro.

Masangano who has over 18 years experience in international trade, Project management and resources mobilisation has taken over from Vera Kamtukule who now serves as Deputy Minister of Labour under the leadership of President Lazarus Chakwera.
